Swarovski Wedding Tiaras

There are many different tiaras available for the modern bride and even her bridesmaids and flower girls if the bride so wishes. Swarovski was founded by Daniel Swarovski in 1892 when he patented an electric cutting machine that facilitated the production of lead crystal glass. These crystals allows light to refract in a rainbow spectrum by coating some of its crystals with special metallic chemical. Swarovski crystals then became known as a luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut lead crystal glass produced by this company in Austria.

Today, Swarovski also sells beads and rhinestones that are very popular with artists who design wedding tiaras. One of the frequently requested material for designing the wedding tiara is the Aurora Borealis, or "AB", a coating that gives the surface of the crystal a rainbow oil slick appearance.
